UCPath will begin the first phase of its transition to a new phone system provider, Talkdesk.

Recently, clarifications were given around Benefits Billing for employees on leaves without pay, furlough, and short work break.
New FAQ Questions:
When will employee billing notices be sent out; are these on the same schedule as employees on all other leaves?
When an employee is rehired, UCPath has logic to reinstate sick hours
Did You Know: Employees on leave without pay will be enrolled in benefit billing depending on when they go on leave and how long they are out
UC benefits premiums are paid in advance, with the exception of disability premiums.

With travel plans put on hold due to the pandemic, the vacation accrual maximum in UC’s Absence from Work policy (PPSM-2.210) was temporarily lifted last year to allow policy-covered staff more time to use their accrued vacation leave to bring their accrual below the maximum.
All employees should check to make sure their contact information is up to date in UCPath.
UC Office of the President (UCOP) has announced that Calvin Turner will be joining Office of the President as UCPath Executive Director effective March 1, 2021.
Calvin’s appointment follows an extensive national search led by Heidrick & Struggles in collaboration with a systemwide search committee chaired by Stephen Whelan, Executive HR Director, UCI People Services and UCPath Steering Committee co-chair.
Former employees can access their UC employment information after they have separated from UC by logging in to the Former Employee portal. Recently, some people have experienced login issues that resulted in re-registration or password reset requests. If you are having trouble accessing the portal, please review these common issues and resolutions below.
Date of Birth
In accordance with requirements of the Affordable Care Act and various reporting requirements of other jurisdictions, UC employees and retirees will receive 1095-B and/or 1095-C forms verifying their health coverage for 2020. The forms are for employees’ and retirees’ information and records only; the forms are not filed with tax returns.
General Reminders regarding 1095-Cs and 1095-Bs:
Beginning on January 26, 2021, employees can access their 2020 UCPath W-2 online. For employees who requested an electronic version of their W-2, they will receive an email notification when it becomes available. For employees who did not select an electronic version, a printed W-2 will be mailed to the home address on file on Friday, January 29, 2021.
