FSA Vendor Discovery Benefits Issue

January 6, 2021

There has been a delay in issuing some Discovery Benefits WEX debit cards for Flexible Spending accounts, due to the vendor receiving incomplete address information from the UCPath Center.

UCPath Center has identified the missing information, and sent a correction to the vendor on January 6. Employees who were affected received an email from the UCPath Center explaining the issue and next steps (also below), as well as a notice from Discovery Benefits with the subject line "Recent Update to Your Discovery Benefits Account." This update was made by UCPath Center, and your account is secure.

For those affected:

If you have received your new Discovery Benefits WEX debit card, no further action is needed.

If you have not received your Discovery Benefits WEX debit card, please complete one of these options on or after Thursday, January 7, 2021, to request a new card:

  1. Log into your online account at uc-fsa.com
    1. In the profile section, select “Banking/Cards”
    2. Locate your name (and eligible dependents, if applicable) and click “Report Lost/Stolen”
    3. Verify your mailing address and click “Submit”
  2. Contact the Discovery Benefits UC participant services center at (844) 561-1338, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PT), Monday through Friday

Please allow up to 14 business days for the newly-issued debit cards to arrive.

Note: If flexible spending account funds are needed before your new card arrives, please pay these expenses out of pocket and submit a claim for reimbursement through your account.
