Manage Accruals - Training Eligibility

The Manage Accruals training equips Initiators and Approvers with the knowledge and hands-on experience to adjust employee accrual balances in UCPath, including sick, vacation, protected leave (FMLA, PDLL, protected sick, etc.), sabbatical credits, and more. Learners will work with the Hours, Takes, Adjustments, Other, and Payout Manage Accruals transaction types to ensure accurate updates. Over time, you’ll develop confidence in identifying the right adjustment method and understanding the broader impact of accrual changes across UCPath.

Eligible Groups Include:

  • Certain ERSO and L&S transactors
  • Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) Users

Required for:

  • Initiators submitting Manage Accruals transactions.

Recommended for:

  • Approvers approving and denying Manage Accruals transactions.

Training Pre-Requisites

Completion of the Intro to UCPath online eLearning course.

  • This course provides an overview of UCPath, PeopleSoft, and key system modules for users performing transactions beyond self-service.
  • In this course, you will:
    • Understand UCPath’s key benefits and the role of the UCPath Center.
    • Learn key terms, acronyms, and system modules.
    • Navigate UCPath, including field types, data entry, and help resources.

Manage Accruals Live Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

  • Time required: 2.5 hours
  • Format: live via Zoom
  • Required for: Manage Accruals Initiators
  • Recommended for: Manage Accruals Approvers
  • Content: A live, instructor-led session in a UCPath training environment to practice key Manage Accruals transactions, such as Takes, Payouts, Hours, Other, and Adjustments.
  • Assessment: class transactions submitted in the practice environment to verify skill readiness and ensure transaction accuracy. Requires an 80% or higher precision score to pass.
