PayPath Actions  - Training Eligibility

The PayPath Actions training equips Initiators and Approvers with the knowledge and hands-on experience to confidently update filled position data, modify employee job data, and add recurring additional pay in UCPath. This training familiarizes learners with the three PayPath tabs, providing strategies for accurate data entry and effective navigation. Over time, as you work in PayPath, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of how these changes interact, recognize patterns, and anticipate downstream impacts across UCPath.

Eligible Groups Include:

  • Certain ERSO and L&S transactors
  • Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) Users

Required for:

  • Initiators submitting PayPath Actions transactions.

Recommended for:

  • Approvers approving and denying PayPath Actions transactions.

Training Pre-Requisites

Completion of the Intro to UCPath online eLearning course.

  • This course provides an overview of UCPath, PeopleSoft, and key system modules for users performing transactions beyond self-service.
  • In this course, you will:
    • Understand UCPath’s key benefits and the role of the UCPath Center.
    • Learn key terms, acronyms, and system modules.
    • Navigate UCPath, including field types, data entry, and help resources.

Additional optional on demand courses for more information:

  • Employee Data Inquiry eCourse: this course provides an overview of how employee data is stored in UCPath and how to view employee information.

  • WFA Overview eCourse: this course provides an overview of the UCPath Workforce Administration (WFA) module.

PayPath Live Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

  • Time required: 4 hours
  • Format: live via Zoom
  • Required for: PayPath Actions Initiators
  • Recommended for: PayPath Actions Approvers
  • Content: A live, instructor-led session in a UCPath training environment to practice key PayPath Actions transactions, such as Reports To changes, FTE updates, Compensation changes, and recurring Additional Pay stipends.
  • Assessment: class transactions submitted in the practice environment to verify skill readiness and ensure transaction accuracy. Requires an 80% or higher precision score to pass.
