Access Role Types:
Discuss with your supervisor and/or unit what you need to be able to see and do regarding Cost Transfers, including Salary Cost Transfers & Benefits Costs Transfers.
- Inquiry: Do you need to be able to look up Cost Transfer transactions?
- Initiator: Do you need to be able to reallocate salary or benefits costs?
- Approver: Do you need to be able to approve a colleague's Cost Transfer transaction?
Training Requirements
Depending on the type of access you need, there may or may not be required training.
Inquiry: no required training.
Initiator: Salary Cost Transfer training is required.
Approver: Salary Cost training is recommended.
SARA Roles to Request
Once you have decided what access is needed for your job and you have completed any required or recommended training, you can submit your SARA request with the respective roles for Inquiry, Initiator, and/or Approver.
