  • "Payroll Processing"

    • The UCPath Center uses the Payroll Processing Schedule to manage the execution of the payroll process. The schedule is standard across all Locations on UCPath.

    • Resources on the Payroll Processing schedule are available at the bottom of the Transactional User page on the Berkeley UCPath website.

  • "CalPath Connect"

    • The CalPath Connect newsletter is the means by which the Berkeley UCPath Operations team shares information and updates to the UCPath system with transactors here at UC Berkeley.

    • It is currently sent out the first Friday of each month.

    • An archive of all newsletters which have been sent can be found on the Berkeley UCPath Website.

    • Recently, the newsletters have also been included on the website as news articles.

  • "Address for benefits"

    • If an employee updates their address in UCPath, it will trigger for their benefits to be re-evaluated because some benefits are not available outside of California. Additional information on the benefits process, and what triggers benefits can be found in the Benefits Triggers job aid at the bottom of the Transactional User page.

    • This topic of benefits - when an employee is out of state - was also touched on in the July 2022 CalPath Connect newsletter.
    • UCNet has additional resources for an employee updating their address for benefits purposes, such as UCRAYS, Fidelity, etc.

  • DDODS

    • The DDODS (Operational Data Store) was a means in which UCPath data was stored and disseminated across the UCPath system prior to 2022.

    • Now the UCPath system uses a similar data storage called the Reporting Instance (RI). 

    • A column on the Payroll Processing Schedule (see above search phrase) does still reference the DDODS, but is indicating the transfer of data (specifically Post Confirm reports for Locations) in the UCPath system through the Reporting Instance as part of the payroll cycle.
